Snow Melt Causes Roof Leak

This water loss occurred after a particularly heavy snow year in Montana, near the Southern end of the Bitterroot Valley.  Heavy snow melt penetrated a roof valley and came in through the attic space into a kitchen an pantry.  Partial ceiling collapse occurred prior to SERVPRO of Missoula's arrival.  SERVPRO performed required lead and asbestos sampling on this home before removing the balance of the affected suspect materials.  Containment was set up both to minimize the amount of process air for the dehumidifiers and shorten the drying time, but also to help contain any potential dust created by the demolition of the affected drywall / plaster.
